Cafe Diem, 600 N. Sheppard St. - Great Entertainmnet, Music and Spirits.

Cafe Diem, 600 N. Sheppard St.

Cafe Diem is located on the corner of N. Sheppard and Patterson. This is just a brief entry on this bar and restaurant - which also has live music almost every night. We will write something longer in the future - including a history of the various establishments that have been at this site.

Visit the Cafe Dim web site for their menu and music schedule.

Hey Ray:

I wrote a novel--a sad first person effort that took almost a decade to write--all about my post-college, pre-job days that I thought would fascinate the world.

William Vollmann it ain't.

But, I delivered pizza out of what is now Bandito's when the Devil's Triangle was living up to its name, and the old Johnston Wilis--now Kensington Gardens condos-was a home for the addled.

Dunno if this is something you'd find of use.

Hey People wake up...I grew up in the Devil's Triangle. My Aunt who adopted me was Debra Richardson Faulconer Baker. She was a close friend of Carol the former owner of Cafe 21. You people have no idea the great ones that have come from that area. My Aunt, for one is now a Writer... her work is everywhere on the net... her image also. She had been published also.

Miss Amber, you are a sweetheart. I must give you a big hug tonight... Yes, I am now a Writer. Have the books and the awards to back it up. So many great ones have come from that area. I left the friends I grew up with back there some time ago. I've also lost many... If I had a wish it would be to be twenty years younger. Lol... More so to have some of those now gone, back. Moe the former owner of Felix, we had some great times together. I can't let the neighborhood clan forget you. Carol, former owner of Cafe 21, I miss you my dear friend. Moe, if you by slim chance get a glimpse of this article. I want you to know that everytime I ride by the old Felix, I remember you and the great friendship we had. I can still see my Father, Dell Richardson sitting at that round table. I miss the old clan... They wanted changes in the area...
Since we all left, the area seems to have died. Hey people, I love that area... Many parts of my heart lie there...

We have just opened a new business that we hope contributes to the area, Maury Place Bed and Breakfast located at Belmont Avenue & Monument Avenue. We have been open 4 months, and have already sent guests to local businesses such as Caliente and Arianna's. We hope we can help support local merchants while allowing our guests to get a taste of great Richmond Va restaurants & shopping.
