Who was Johnston-Willis hospital named for? I have always been told that it was named in part for Dr. George Ben Johnston, who was named President of the American Surgical Association. Born 25 Jul 1853 and died in Richmond 20, Dec 1916. Does anyone know if this is true. He is my ancester. Please feel free to email cathylewis52@gmail.com Thank you.

Anonymous I and my brother were born here. As a child I spent a lot of time here being treated for severe asthma.

I was in this hospital many times, including a summer job in 1967. My father was the hospital administrator for 30 years from the 1950s-1980s.

I was born there in 1951. I’m here with my best friend from college, looking at an apartment for her. Clean, not fancy. Kitchen & bathroom cabinets are poor quality.
